Michelle Meece, a southern Indiana native, is a graduate of Kentucky Christian University. She has degrees in elementary education and Bible. Michelle has been with the Hands & Feet Project since its inception. She came in with the co-founders when the first property was bought. She joined a Hands & Feet Project family in January 2007. Michelle grew up with one of the co-founders and moved to Haiti with his family in the late 1980s. When the Hands & Feet Project began and she was asked to serve, it was an easy yes for her. With her background in teaching, Michelle‘s heart for children is evident. She has served in various roles and capacities over the past several years, but one thing remains consistent: her heart for Haiti and her desire for children to reach their full potential. If you have the opportunity to meet Michelle, she will have a story to share with you. She loves to share her experiences and discuss where God has led her on this path of loving and serving the people of Haiti.
“When I think of Michelle, I see someone who demonstrates the 'fruit of the spirit.” Her spirit is one of giving and sharing her faith and herself with others. She is an asset to the Kingdom of God.” - James Petty, D.D. Minister
